Week #9 Publication Call – In The Garden

By Theresa Calderini on July 6th, 2012 »

“I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses. And the voice I hear, falling on my ear, the Son of God Discloses.”

How precious are the words of this song, their meaning so important to understand if we desire a deeper relationship with Christ. A free invitation from God, to enter into a quiet place of conversation with Him alone.  To sit silently, hear His voice, feel His love, to enter into a place of loving dialogue with our Heavenly Father.

Mr. Bivens, our Photographer decided on this picture for this weeks Publication Call and when I saw it, I immediately thought of the song by C. Austin Miles “I Come to the Garden Alone.” This picture was taken at the Billy Graham home and library in Charlotte, North Carolina. Can you imagine walking through this garden, sitting quietly with the view of the barn and cross in front of you the wildflowers enveloping you, looking into the heavens and entering into a prayerful time with God?

I remember seeing this AMAZING library/barn image on the internet… or maybe it was in a mailing. ANyways, absolutely amazing. And this song is my favorite. I suffer from extreme allergies to many trees, flowers, grasses. But I yearn for a lovely garden. SOME DAY… I will get that opportunity to walk with HIM in the most glorious garden ever and not have to worry about sneezing and being miserable. A new body awaits us. What a wonderful thing to look forward to!! Thank you for your post. Your card is GORGEOUS too!! The sentiment is wonderful as are your rolled roses. And the garden gate in the background is so perfect. I’m not sure if I’m late for this call or not (I’ll go back and look) but it sure is inspiring me today. I’ll see what I can do.

Have a blessed week Theresa!! *Ü*
