“Soft Chalking”

By Theresa Calderini on October 3rd, 2008 »

I know I keep saying I love “everything“!! I can’t help it! Creating things is just a wonderful hobby for me and I love it when something comes together and looks great!

Chalked fresh cuts with flower I’ve used this technique before on a similar card (previous post) but wanted to try and do three levels of layers on one card with it. (I bet you can’t say “levels of layers” 5 times real fast? haha!!) The stamp set for all the images is Fresh Cuts from SU. It’s such a wonderful set with so many possibilities!

I used 3 chalks for this: apricot appeal, taken with teal and elegant eggplant (since when has eggplant been elegant??) The papers coordinate with the chalks, keeping everything in perfect harmony! The middle layer has a grid technique done on it which I think adds a little bit of dimension to the layers. The embellishment is spectacular isn’t it?? LOVE IT!!! I got Chalked fresh cuts with flower closeup this from a local bead shop and will definitely have to go get some more of these!!

I’m predicting that this will cost a bit more to mail since it’s heavier with the embellishment. Or, save some money and hand it to someone special along with a big ole hug!!!

Hope you enjoy! until next time.

Theresa
